Elisa thinks Ercopac represents the perfect harmony between work life and family, an environment where professional and personal growth are intertwined every day.
Q: Tell me about your role in the company. What are your main responsibilities?
A: In Ercopac I manage service and spare parts, and I am in charge of organizing transfers and shipments. I also provide back-office support, and I work as a receptionist. Let’s say I’m an all-rounder in the office!
Q: What is your favorite work-related aspect in this company?
A: My favorite thing about this company is the possibility to learn new things every day. Working at Ercopac is a continuous discovery, and it allows me to grow both professionally and personally. In fact, my job is exciting and the proximity to home has helped me a lot, because I can devote quality time to my son, and I’m happy about that.
Q: What do you value most in your corporate culture and work environment?
A: What I appreciate most is the family atmosphere of the company. This means that in Ercopac you are not just a number, but a person, and when someone needs help there is always understanding and availability. The partners in particular are very close to the needs of employees, and it is no small matter.
Q: Tell us a bit about your background and what led you to fill your current role.
A: I’ve come to fill my current role after a maternity period at my previous company. I had come to a point where I did not know how to reconcile work and family life because of the distance and too much time away from home, and I was told that there was no possibility of moving to other locations in the near future. At that point I decided to look around, and shortly after I was contacted by Ercopac. They immediately made a very good impression, and after pointing out my difficulties in family-work management, they were very understanding and helpful. It is not obvious to find this level of humanity in the workplace.
Q: What do you think is the most exciting aspect of our industry or the work we do as a company?
A: I think that in the work we do, the most exciting aspect is the possibility to collaborate with new people and different realities every day. This pushes us to always grow and to never remain still at the starting point.
Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work? How do they fit into your professional life?
A: Family is the most important thing for me, and we must try not to miss the most beautiful moments, in my opinion. That’s why I like to dedicate my free time to my son and husband. It’s great to be able to reconcile family life and work.
Q: Are there any personal or professional values that you consider particularly important in your career? How do they align with company values?
A: From my point of view, we must always try to collaborate and value the people we are in contact with every day. For this reason, respect and support for others are two very important values for me. In addition, I think it is important to try not to lose enthusiasm for your job in order to be able to do it the best way possible.
Q: Is there a specific achievement or success in your career that you are particularly proud of?
A: Certainly I have gained experience in various fields throughout my career, switching from the world of small companies to the one of larger companies, and I feel I have really grown professionally. That makes me particularly proud.
Q: What advice do you have for those interested in pursuing a career in your industry or within our company?
A: For anyone wishing to pursue a career within Ercopac I would simply recommend being themselves and having a great desire to do and to learn.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to share with our audience about your role, your experiences or the company in general?
A: I would like to conclude with a quote by Steve Jobs that very much reflects my job in Ercopac and that I would like to share:
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
