Marcello’s story paints a vivid picture of what it means to be part of the Ercopac family, and is an example of the versatility and development potential we offer to all members of our team.

Q: Tell me about your role in the company. What are your main responsibilities?

A: I am responsible for electrical design, and my main responsibilities concern the technical documentation and safety of our machines.

Q: What is your favorite work-related aspect in this company?

A: Definitely the possibility of being able to follow and take care of different technical aspects regarding our machines. I also appreciate the company’s versatility, meaning the possibility of operating in different sectors and offering the market multiple technical solutions, hence different types of machines.

Q: What do you value most in the corporate culture and work environment?

A: What I appreciate most about the company’s culture regards respect shown for the work of every single employee, trust in the work of everyone and confidence to work in a team whose goal is to solve problems. In addition, the environment is very stimulating from a technical point of view and the goal of the company is to grow, while growing all the people who work there as well.

Q: Tell us a bit about your background and what led you to fill your current role.

A: I have been working in the field of automation for over 25 years: initially as an electrical designer and then also as responsible for product certification, directly dealing with both the technical and the legislative part for machines compliance to product directives. During my working life, I’ve also had the opportunity to manage technical documentation, and I’ve had experiences both as an operational resource and as a manager. I think that this expertise was one of the factors that led the company to choose me and to rely on me for part of the technical management.

Q: What do you think is the most exciting aspect of our industry or the work we do as a company?

A: I have a technical education, and I have been a technician since I entered the world of work. I like being a technician, and a respectable technician must always grow professionally, and he must never stop. In this company, the sectors we serve and the type of products we manufacture require continuous technical evolution, and I think this is the most exciting aspect of our work.

Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work? How do they fit into your professional life?

A: I really like swimming and cycling, and I always try to take some time to practice these two sports, for example early in the morning and during the weekend. Also, family must never be neglected, and I like to spend time with my two children, who are still very young.

Q: Are there any personal or professional values that you consider particularly important in your career? How do they align with the company’s values?

A: My values, at work as in life, are respect for the work of others, collaboration and teamwork, but above all meritocracy. All values I’ve found within the company.

Q: Is there a specific achievement or success in your career that you are particularly proud of?

A: There have been many, small but constant. My own professional growth is my success.

Q: What advice do you have for those interested in pursuing a career in your industry or within our company?

A: I would only advise to do something one likes, and to do it with passion. If one does something one likes, then gratification will also come. I love my work and I think that’s understood, but this company is also giving me much more satisfaction compared to my past experiences, both thanks to the young and dynamic environment, and to the ambition that guides us.
