SPIDER-R is Ercopac’s robotic wrapper featuring a 6-axis anthropomorphic robot, designed for automatic pallet wrapping in highly complex and high-productivity environments.

Types of Wrapping and Applications

SPIDER-R supports the main wrapping modes: side wrapping, dust-proof, and water-proof. The patented water-proof cycle provides complete pallet protection in a single cycle, with air blasts and counter-blasts that keep the top film raised during wrapping.

The system is suitable for bottles, cartons, cans, boxes, and other products packaged in cartons, bundles, bags, trays, and other compatible packaging.

Performance

SPIDER-R is available in the High Speed configuration, optimized for high-throughput lines:

Euro pallets: up to 130 pallets/hour with 9 wraps
Half pallets: up to 200 pallets/hour with 7 wraps

For lower throughput rates, Ercopac offers SPIDER-C in the configuration best suited to the line’s requirements.

The SPIDER-R’s automatic head changeover takes just 25 seconds—the fastest time available on the market. The interchangeable wrapping heads allow for film restoration in the event of a break or roll replacement without production downtime and in complete safety, increasing line efficiency and reducing backlogs.

Wrapping Film Specifications

SPIDER-R works with films ranging from 11 to 45 μ with a pre-stretch capacity of up to 500%. The 750 mm reel is the recommended configuration for optimizing film distribution. The system accepts rolls weighing between 24 and 70 kg and also in 500mm and 1000mm lengths.
