
OCTOPUS is Ercopac’s anthropomorphic or delta robot designed for layer-forming in palletizing lines.
The system operates in the phase immediately preceding palletizing: it receives products coming off the line, arranges them according to the pallet layout, and prepares the complete layer for transfer.
This is a critical phase because it determines the quality of the layer, the final stability of the pallet, and the overall speed of the line.
The anthropomorphic version of OCTOPUS is equipped with a 5-axis arm that ensures repeatable movements over time with excellent acceleration. Thanks to its ergonomic design and minimal footprint, it is ideal for compact cells and facilities where space is limited.
The anthropomorphic version is the ideal choice when simplifying the production line compared to traditional mechanical systems: it is easily reconfigurable, less constrained by a single format, and suitable for both new installations and plant retrofits of existing systems.
The OCTOPUS DELTA’s gantry structure prevents interference with operators, with controlled movements that comply with industrial safety standards. Optimized movements also reduce energy consumption, contributing to more sustainable production.
