SPIDER-C is Ercopac’s column-type wrapper with a cartesian robot and press, designed for automatic pallet wrapping in the beverage, food, tissue, dairy, and other industries.
The machine combines wrapping quality, compact footprint, and operational continuity, adapting to half-pallets, Euro-pallets, and industrial pallets.
Unlike the SPIDER-S, the SPIDER-C is equipped with a free-running or motorized press that stabilizes the load during the wrapping cycle, allowing it to handle even less stable pallets or more delicate products while maintaining high wrapping quality.
The modular design of the SPIDER range ensures that major components and spare parts are shared across models, facilitating upgrades and keeping operating costs low over time.
SPIDER-C supports the main wrapping modes: side, dust-proof, and water-proof. The patented water-proof cycle provides complete pallet protection in a single wrapping cycle, thanks to the application of air blasts and counter-blasts that keep the top film raised during wrapping.
The system is suitable for bottles, cartons, cans, boxes, and other products packaged in cartons, bundles, bags, trays, and other compatible packaging.

Performance varies depending on the type of pallet and the number of wrapping revolutions. Synchronization between the press and the turntable is ensured under all conditions thanks to the belt drive with an integrated mechanical shaft.
One of the distinctive features of the range is the ability to replicate the same movements between column-type and robotic systems. Thanks to the addition of the fifth axis in the wrapping head (patented), SPIDER-C and SPIDER-S are able to replicate the wrapping logic of SPIDER-R, ensuring consistent characteristics in terms of load stability and finished product quality.
The position of the wrapping head (patented) ensures maximum precision in cutting and sealing operations thanks to the reduced distance between the head and the product during the cycle, with faster diagonal movements and automatic film positioning at the corners of the pallet.
The automatic head change on the SPIDER-C (patented) takes 55 seconds, using a rotating unit consisting of two parking positions that rotate 180°. The system’s safety is very high: the head cannot fall from its mounting during the change, even in the event of software or operator errors.
The interchangeable wrapping heads allow for film restoration operations in the event of a break or roll replacement without production downtime and in complete safety.
The SPIDER-C column-style wrapper operates with films ranging from 11 to 45 μ and offers a pre-stretch capacity of up to 500%. The 750 mm roll is the recommended configuration, offering 10–20% film savings and compatibility with recyclable film. The system also accommodates 500 mm and 1000 mm rolls.
